Niger Tornadoes on the Verge of Securing Foreign Partnership to Boost Club's Commercial Value

A high-powered delegation from Niger Tornadoes has arrived in Turkey to explore partnerships with top foreign clubs, in a bid to boost the commercial value of the club.

The delegation includes the club chairman, Dr. Abubakar Kuso; the Niger State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Honourable Jacob Baba Yisa; Niger Tornadoes' Sporting Director, Mojeed Ibrahim; and the club's Director of Logistics, Alhaji Ibrahim Audi.

Niger Tornadoes has witnessed huge transformation on many fronts since the appointment of Dr. Kuso. With the backing and support of Farmer Governor Umar Bago, the team is poised for greater achievements as the groundwork is now being laid.

From the comprehensive renovation and upgrade of the Bako Kontagora Stadium in Minna, to the renovation of the players' camp, the uplift of the Tornadoes secretariat and the restructuring of the feeder teams, Dr. Kuso's magic hand — complemented by sport-loving Governor Umar Bago — has raised the bar for the Ikon Allah Boys.

The delegation arrived in Turkey and has since gone to work, holding several meetings with potential partners. The goal is to secure a favourable partnership that will raise the value of Niger Tornadoes and open the team up to more opportunities.

At the heart of the trip are plans to seal partnerships with top teams for the purpose of player development and transfers, the exchange of technical expertise, commercially viable deals and international connections to help Niger Tornadoes scale new heights.

Dr. Kuso, who is also the Executive Director, Planning and Design, Upper Niger River Basin Development Authority (UNRBDA), inherited a club that needed not only success on the pitch but also a renewed identity, improved infrastructure, stronger administrative structures and a sustainable pathway for developing football talent — and he has hit the ground running from the first day.

As the team continues preparations for the new season with their participation in the Gusau/Ahlan Pre-Season Tournament in Katsina State, Dr. Kuso and his management team are ensuring they create a sustainable system and partnerships that are revolutionising the club for greatness.
